What is the inspiration of my music?

My sound has been designed to attempt to create a soundtrack for the feelings/scenarios that happen when attending a live show/festival.

So my music is actually about my experiences with seeing live music since I was a kid to now.

That means my music is about live music plus my ADHD.

Things like walking onto the grounds getting camp set up and meeting your neighbors. Everyone’s sober, I can just hear in my head some bongos and nice little guitar riff, something really light and airy. Same thing with running into a friend in the crowd that you haven’t seen in forever. These happy vibes are how I start a lot of my songs.

Then things happen like dealing with security, a shitty crowd, waiting in line, or when a certain “situation” turns in the wrong direction. These anxious risers or changes in the song eventually develops similarly to how a night at a multi genre festival happens. Jammy bands during the day, then sunset occurs and things get a little dark, but eventually it becomes a beautiful night.

So ya, my music is about music.

What does Sum DIffrent mean?

TO ADD DIFFERENCE

My ADHD causes my thoughts to constantly shift. So when I’m at a festival, I really enjoy variety. The evolution of hanging out during the day, then music starts and it gets weird at night which then develops into a perfect sunrise set.

It does NOT mean that I’m claiming to be something different. I really just make these sounds because I want to listen to what I want to listen to. I also truly love and enjoy the process of sonic development and the feeling that happens when I crack a part of a song that was broken and I finally find a way to make it fit together gives me goosebumps every time.
